Nicola and Celia founded Circular-City in 2025. Working together, they have previously accessed funding for successful school and community gardening projects around Greater Manchester which they have then established and project managed. These socially inclusive horticultural projects provided environmental education, strengthened nature connectedness and delivered food growing and cooking programmes using harvested produce.
Nicola has a PhD in political economy in relation to crop biotechnology, farming, biodiversity and trade issues. Celia has an MSc in sustainability specialising in biodiversity and food growing.
